He was predeceased by: his parents, William Berge and Bertha VanWinkle Ratliff; his sons, Julius and Owen Hutcheson; his former wife Gertha Spurlock; his wife Lois Berry; his sister Laura VanWinkle; and also, Avon, Orville, Norvel, William "Shorty" and Jewel Ratliff.
He is survived by: his daughter Debra DuFord; and his granddaughter Rachel DuFord of Lake City. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
