He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lou Townsend (Land); his parents, John Townsend and Gladys Townsend (Hancock); his brothers, H. C. and Ollie Townsend; his grandson Joey Ray Townsend Stormes; and his son-in-law Ethan Harper.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda (Bill Stormes) of Knobel, AR., Susan Harper of Sedgwick, AR., Vickie (Terry Robinson) of Corning, AR. and Tammy (Alan Collins) of Ravenden, AR.; his sisters, Diane Briney (Donnie) and Georgene Tierney (Tom); his grandchildren, Autumn Stormes (Kelly), Bill Stormes Jr. (Erika), Matt Harper (Taralee), Eli Harper (Jennifer), Sara (Steven Clark), Seth Robinson, Joe Collins (Natalie) and Lane Collins; and his great grandchildren, Ryland Bounds, Hailey Bounds, Jade Bounds, Kendra Burton, Lana Burton, Khaleesi Stormes, Elise Yarbrough Drew Yarbrough, Zailey Hall, Eleanor Clark, Lynnley Collins, Annadail Collins and Zayn Harper. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
