He is survived by: his brothers, Cleitus Boyd (Patricia) of Corning and James Buford Boyd of Alpine Texas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“Norris was a great friend to my uncle (Theodore "Ted" Dove) for more than 70 years. I, too, was the beneficiary of Norris's friendship, especially the past 20+ years while visiting my Uncle Ted in Knobel prior to moving him to Louisiana to live with me the last two years of his life. I kept in touch with Norris by phone and last visited him 3 years ago at his home in Knobel. I will always remember his gentle nature, his caring for others and his devotion to his friends and family.”
