He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Dotson and Mettie Lou Foster (Gould); his siblings, Albert Foster, Delbert Foster, Alvin Foster, Esther Deatherage and Beulah Finn; and his niece Neely Joyce Spruell.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Foster (Dedmon); his daughter Sheila Neumann; and his grandson Drew Neumann.
