He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Levi Bailey and Vena Jackson Bailey; his wife Nora Elizabeth Lane; his brothers, Carl Bailey, Hershel Bailey and Olan Bailey; and his son Gary Bailey.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra and Michael; his grandson-in-law Brian; his children-in-law, Renanda Bailey and John Garrett; his son Shane Bailey; his daughters-in-law, Shelley Bailey of Kirby and Bessy Bailey of Kirby; his grandchildren, Amber (Dustin Young), Aubrey Bailey, Andrea (Brian Holder), Ashton Bailey, Carlee Garrett, Carson Garrett, Shannon Bailey, Dinah (Cory Davis), Tamiesha Baxter, William Talbott (Nelly Crus), Dianna Talbott, Nichole Talbott and Alex (Heely Casco); and also, Paul, Virginia Bailey of Nashville, Jimmy of Murfreesboro, Wanda Bailey of Murfreesboro and Kay Bailey of Murfreesboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, extended family and many longtime friends.
