She was predeceased by: her parents, George Hardy Carter, Sr. and Josie Olivine Johnson Carter; her husband Hugh F. Carroll; and her siblings, George Hardy Carter, Jr. and Motier Vanlandingham.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shelia Courtney of Fordyce, Charlotte Shaddock of Sparkman, Jean Lexington of Kingsland, Cynthia Parnell of Kingsland and Rhonda Dews of Camden; and her brother James Carter of Calmer. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
