He was predeceased by: his sisters, Yolanda Benavides and Elizabeth Benavides; and his grandson Ezequiel Pacheco. He is survived by: his wife Hermelinda Benavides; his children, Silvia Pacheco, Graciela Henson, Jose L Benavides Jr., Irma Benavides, Cristina Benavides and Jaime Benavides Sr.; his grandchildren, Alejandro, Liliana, Nelly, Esmeralda, Marissa, Jaime Jr., Jasmynn Benavides, Rosalinda, Jorge L Pacheco, Benjamin, Merari Henson, Ameena and Salwa Zubair; his great grandchild Alistar Isaac Hervert; and his siblings, Alicia, Evangelina, Oralia, Deanira Benavides, Jaime, Javier and Jesus Benavides.

Due to the most recent COVID-19 directive, face covering must be worn at all times and six-feet distancing will be observed.
