He was predeceased by: his wife Dovie A. Hightower; his son Gregory Dale Hightower; and his brothers, Billy Hightower and James Hightower. He is survived by: his son Jeff Hightower; his grandchildren, Hannah Marsh (Kyle) and Hunter Hightower (Chelsea); and his great grandchildren, Wade Wesley Marsh, Kane Hunter Marsh, Sherman and Robin Worth.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made the First United Methodist Church, 112 W. 1st Street, Junction City, AR 71749.
