She was predeceased by: her parents, Irene Tibitha Shannon Nicklas and Joseph Wilson Nicklas Jr.; her husband H. W. Thompson; and her siblings, Nadine Nicklas, Mary Alice Nicklas, Vivian Farrar, Ima Jean Bennett, Alvis Nicklas and Melvin Nicklas.
She is survived by: her children, Tim Roope (Gabriella) of Belton, TX, Walt Thompson (Wendy) of Junction City and Tammy Brantley (Rod) of Junction City; her grandchildren, Joshua Thompson (Caroline) of Junction City, Hunter Brantley (Kennedy Hodge) of Junction City, David Roope of Belton, TX, Mackenzie Brantley of Junction City, Jessica Roope of Ft. Worth, TX and Jennifer Roope of Ft. Worth, TX; her stepgrandson Jarod Brantley (Melissa) of Shreveport, LA; her stepgreat-granddaughter Ava Brantley of Shreveport; and her sisters-in-law, Joyce Nicklas of Haughton, LA and Margaret Ingram of Texas City, TX. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
