He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lawrence Pumphrey Sr. and Opal Greer Pumphrey; his wife Bobbie Hux Pumphrey; his grandson Daniel Wayne Pumphrey; and his brothers, Jesse Pumphrey and Allen Pumphrey.
He is survived by: his sons, Kenneth Wayne Pumphrey Jr. (Melissa) of Junction City, Monte Pumphrey of Junction City and Mark Pumphrey of Junction City; his grandson Jacob Thomas Pumphrey of Magnolia; his son Pops; and his brothers, Lawrence Pumphrey of Wesson, Arkansas, Roy Pumphrey (Ruth) of Smackover and Dale Pumphrey (Tina) of Zachary. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
