He is survived by: his wife Mary Anna Britton; his children, Kim Britton Guerrero (David), Jerry Melvin Britton, Jr., Leah Watson (Wayne) and Kara Britton; his grandchildren, Heather Britton, Anna Strickland, John Tyler Britton, Jared Britton and Dylan Manuel; and his great grandchildren, Natailia, Arianna, Kinlyn, Justice, Lani, Archer and Lily.
