He was predeceased by: his parents, Wylie Spence and Callie Spence Curtis; his wife Wanda Spence; and his siblings, Johnny of Paul Eddie, O. C. and Onieda.
He is survived by: his children, Gene Spence, Jr. of Dell, Gayla Herriman (David) of Jonesboro, Terry Spence of Blytheville and Angie Dixon of Jonesboro; and his siblings, Bobby Spence of Indiana, Shirley Gregory of Michigan and Sandra Kay Spence of Caruthersville, Missouri.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
