He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Taylor and Cecil Gardner Taylor; his sister Marilee Taylor Pruitt; his nephew Barry Pruitt; and his niece Rhonda Pruitt.
He is survived by: his nieces, Barbara Hall (Ray) and Billie Pruitt (Barry); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Michael Pruitt (Shannan), Casey Higgins (Rob), Matt Pruitt (Danette), Taylor Pruitt (Paula), Dr. Heather Coleman (Eric), Dr. Holly Hall and Colin Hall.
Named a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International, he was also an active member of the Rugby Avenue Church of Christ.
