He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Freeman and Alpha Freeman; his in-laws, Cecil and Pearl Johnson; his brother Robbie Freeman; and his great grandchild Asher Dylan Bosze.

He is survived by: his wife Wilma; his children, Todd Freeman (Kristin) and Autumn Baker (Shane); and his sister Reta Daugherty of Jonesboro. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
