With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ollie Ruth Sweat of Jonesboro, Arkansas, who passed away on February 21, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Taylor and Tensie Taylor; her husband George Sweat Jr.; her daughter Teresa Sweat; and her siblings, Larry Taylor, Emma Crenshaw and Geraldine Sampson.

She is survived by: her children, Eddie Lee Jones, Charles Sweat, Greg Sweat and Lorraine Vann; her siblings, Bobby Joe Taylor, Trent Taylor and Vanessa King; and her grandchildren, Roxanne Sweat, Andre Crenshaw and Aleecia Sweat. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
