He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Whittaker and Allie Whittaker; his wife Luejean Whittaker; and his sisters, Carla Benson and Barbara Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Whittaker (Pamela) of Jonesboro and LuAnn Jones (Jason Pabst) of Kansas City, Missouri; his sister Ruby Couch; his grandchildren, Heather Hoagland (Josh), Kristin Jones, Kylen Whittaker (Benton), Emily Sparks (William) and John Cameron Whittaker; and his great grandchildren, Mia, Heath and Alex Hoagland.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the NEA Humane Society or St Jude Children's Hospital.
