He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernis Mitchell and Opal Marie Hackney (Bennett); and his siblings, Marena Fellers and Christopher Hackney. He is survived by: his children, Jamie Hackney, Mitchell Clay Ellison, Chris Patrick and Levi McCollum; his grandson Knox Montgomery; and his siblings, Jan Hudson and Joe Childers.
