He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Hughes and Pearline Pillow Hughes; his wife Barbara Hughes; and his son-in-law Joe Steflik. He is survived by: his daughters, Amy Lambert (Willis) of Leachville, AR. and Marka Steflik of Jonesboro, AR.; his grandchildren, Rebecka Hatcher (Cord) and Scott Brown; and his great grandchild Finley Hatcher.
