She was predeceased by: her husband Marvin Clay; her daughter Carol Beth Clay; and her siblings, William, James, Carl, Frank Merritt, Lenora Roberson and Elmyra Rhodes.

She is survived by: her daughters, Luanne Barker (Neil) of Charlotte, NC and Marcia Hutcheson (Rick); and her grandchildren, Clayton Barker (Sarah), Brian Barker (Meghan), Chelsea Preston (Paul), Eric Chandler Hutcheson (Abby) and Jason Hutcheson (Jennifer). She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
