She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey H. Melson and Lula Lee Melson (Shurbert); her husband Larry Wayne Kious; and her siblings, Alma Lee Hopper, Juanita Johnson, Dewey Ledford "Led" Melson and Benton Edward Melson.
She is survived by: her sons, Bruce and Aaron Kious (Charlea); and her siblings, Evelyn Chalk, Lula May Ray, Tommy Jack Melson and Milton Lee Melson. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren.
