He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Cleveland and Cecil May Lands; his wife Betty Lou Rogers Lands; his son Lawrence Edward Lands Jr.; his grandson Jacob Alexander Gooding; and his siblings, Doris Parham and Jack Lands.
He is survived by: his children, Jamie Acosta (Jesse), Toni Gooding and David Lands; his grandchildren, Deeanna McLendon, Kimberly DeLong, Justin Kirk, Lawrence Lands III, Thomas Lands and James Lands; and his sister Sharon Kay Bishop. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, a large circle of extended family and friends.
