Jane Douglas Atherton Obituary
Jane Douglas Atherton, 67, of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025 with her children by her side.
Born on June 8, 1957, to Weldon and Margie Douglas of Jonesboro, Arkansas Jane lived a life marked by her deep love for family and unwavering faith. She submitted her life to Christ at an early age, leaving behind a legacy rooted in the love of God. For 28 years, Jane worked at St. Bernards in Jonesboro. Her dedication to her work reflected the same loving care she gave to her family and friends. Outside of work, Jane found happiness in cooking- a passion she often shared with loved ones- and treasured every opportunity to gather around the table with those closest to her.
Jane was united in marriage to Clark McDaniel, and together they raised three children: Doug (Natalie), Chris (Sara), both of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Dustin (Tiffany) of Piggott, Arkansas. Jane's devotion to her children and grandchildren was the cornerstone of her life. She found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren- Railee, Sam, Kaley, Kenley, Connor, Bella, Luke, Lydia, Max, and Felix – cherishing every moment she shared with them.
Janes is remembered with love by her children and grandchildren; three daughters-in-law; brother Jim; nieces Dawnel, Misty, and Windi; nephews Brian and Chad; as well as many extended family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Susan; and many beloved aunts and uncles.
May Jane's memory bring comfort to those who knew her and may her legacy of faith and love continue to inspire all whose lives she touched.
