He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ray Justus and Alphia Justus; his wife Bernice Nell Justus (DeFord); his son Dr. Jimmy Scott Justus; his siblings, John Justus and Mary Katherine Dixon; his son David Justus (Nancy) of Madison, AL; and his grandchildren, Kimberly Sitton (Ronald) of Trumann, AR, Jami Justus (Michael Seger) of Conway, AR, Libby Griffith (Jeremy) of Cabot, AR and Tad Justus (Miranda) of Madison, AL. He was also cherished by five great-grandsons and a great-granddaughter.
