He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Joyce Burnett; his daughter Linda Sue Burnett; his brother James Orville Burnett, Jr.; and his granddaughter Amanda Blankenship. He is survived by: his children, James Henry Burnett Jr., Cathy Jean Hooper, Doris Ann Burnett and Mary Beth Burnett; and his siblings, Lucy Lunn, Chlorine Mcintosh, Carolyn Wyatt and Charles Burnett. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
