He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Garrett and Eva Garrett (Best); his wife Helen Garrett; and his siblings, Harvey, Wilburn, Virgil, Leon, Earl Garrett, Wanda Haner, Dorothy Freeman, Yutha Hanes and Myrtle Garrett.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny Garrett (Cindy) and Linda Haynes (Jim); and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Garrett, Lillian Faye Garrett and Jerry Haner. He is also survived by six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
