He is survived by : his wife Linda Simpson of Jonesboro; his brother Bernard Simpson (Edna) of Vilonia; his sister-in-law Lisa Bowers Jr. (Doin) of Paragould; his niece Byshea Morgan (Michael) of Piggott; his nephew Trey Bowers (Christian) of Corning; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Butler Bowers, Dutch Bowers, Briggs Morgan and Rider Monroe Morgan.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Ray's memory.
