He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis Ann Furnish; his daughter Shirlene Annette Furnish; and his parent Eileen Crystal Powell. He is survived by: his children, Gary Alan Furnish (Tena) of Jonesboro and Melissa Renee Ussery (Don) of Blytheville; his siblings, Michael Powell of Brookland, Gaylon Powell of DeKalb, Illinois and Judy Riggle of Kentucky; and his grandson Gary Logan Furnish.
