She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivery Sample Sr. and Cecelia Sample; her husbands, Jethro Clark Jr. and Emmitt Tatum; her granddaughter De'Quashia Bennett; and her siblings, Ivery Carl Sample Jr. of North Carolina, Jerry Brunson and Sandra Eskridge.

She is survived by: her children, Cornelius Sample "Jack" (Carlisa) of Jonesboro, Christopher Clark of Jonesboro and Catrinia Roberts (Dwain) of Jonesboro; her grandchildren, Emily Ford, Summer Ford, Sydney Sample, Avery Sample, De'Quarius Bennett (Abigail) and Marquez Bennett; her great grandchildren, Jayden, Amelia, Destin and Addilyn; her siblings, Evelyn Malone of Jonesboro, Hattie Brunson of Jonesboro, Clara Honaker (Kevin) of Kerrville Texas and Charles Sample; and her half-siblings, Yolanda Sample of Little Rock, Arkansas, LaCynthia Sample of Georgia and Lamont Lewis of East St.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (700 Kitchen St, Jonesboro, AR 72401). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
