He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Mitchell and Lena Mitchell. He is survived by: his significant other Beryl Ferguson Mitchell of Jonesboro; his son John David Mitchell of Jonesboro; his siblings, Larry Mitchell (Carol) of Colorado, Phillip Mitchell of Fort Smith and Loretta Carroll of Arizona; and his caregivers, Sophie and Colleen.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Emerson Funeral Home (1629 E Nettleton Ave, Jonesboro, AR 72401). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, The Assistant Fund, UAMS Movement Disorders, Walnut Street Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
