It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dale Thompson of Jonesboro, Arkansas, born in Colt, Arkansas, who passed away on February 7, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thed Thompson and Hazel Thompson (Sanford); his siblings, Wayman, Murriel, Jasper Thompson, Donald Lee Burcham, Evelyn West, Sue Bates, Phyllis Cowan, Helen Thompson and Sybil Thompson; and his grandchildren, Kasey West and Brittany Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Flossie Thompson; his children, Jimmy Dale Thompson (Sonya) of Wynne, Dennis Ray Thompson (Rae) of Wynne, Stella Marie Clark of Jonesboro and Deneice Kay Stroud of Fort Smith; his siblings, Larry Thompson (Virgie) of Wynne, Gayle Watlington (Jerry) of Colt and Joy Hudspeth (Tommy) of Melbourne; and his grandchildren, Kara Moore of Jonesboro, J. J, Jonathan Stroud (Patti) of Alma, Justin Thompson (Kelsie) of Wynne, Denny Thompson (Danielle) of Wynne, James Clark (Tricia) of Centerton, Dillon Thompson (Madison) of Wynne, Maggie Huezo (Francisco) of Batesville, Brett Thompson of Wynne and Steven Petramale (Jasmine) of New York. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
