He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Smith and Mildred Smith; and his brothers, Norris Smith, Larry Smith and Darrel Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Smith; his children, Michael Smith (Jill) and Dianne Nelms (Bruce); his grandchildren, Andrea Pearson (Brian), Jillian Harris (Michael), Maghen Carpenter (Blake), Ginny Robins (Sean), Ethan Nelms, Sydney Smith, Eli Mullins and Justin Mullins (Hannah); his great grandchildren, Daxton, Drake, Riley, Evan, Piper, Emma, Conner, Alayne, Scarlett, Luke and Charley; and his brother Noel Smith (Frances).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Charles' name to Pine Log Cemetery.
