Carol Dunkin Obituary

Carol Dunkin, born Carol Statum on June 4, 1950, in Blytheville, Arkansas, passed away on April 18, 2025, in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Carol was the beloved daughter of S. D. and Opal Statum and grew up surrounded by a large and close-knit family. Throughout her life, Carol remained deeply connected to her roots in Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, J. C. Statum; and sisters Diane Jones and Maxine Cole. Carol also mourned the loss of two children during her lifetime—Cynthia Cook and Samual Cook.

Carol's memory lives on through those who knew her best. She is remembered with love by her husband, James Dunkin and her children: Dell Drake, Gene Cook, Robert Dunkin, and William Dunkin. Her legacy also continues through her surviving siblings, Stella Lockhart, Jennie Rosamond, Brenda Ortiz, Sandy Stribling and Theda Herron as well as her 15 grandchildren.
