He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Wid" Gibson and Martha Belle Gibson Duncan; his stepfather John Duncan; his siblings, Julia Mae Gibson Stevenson, Joyce Gibson Mitchell, Lois Gibson, Buel Gibson and George Gibson; his half-siblings, Alvis, Alma Gibson Harris and Billie Duncan Griffin; and his stepsiblings, Herman Duncan, Wilford "Till" Duncan, John "Pug" Duncan, Floyd "Shorty" Duncan, Charles Duncan, Jessie Mae Duncan Fisher, Jeweldene Duncan MacMillan and Ina Pearl Duncan Norquay.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Berger Gibson; his son Ken Gibson (Cindy) of Jonesboro; his grandchildren, Lauren Starnes (Chris) of Jonesboro and Lee Gibson (Katherine) of Benton, AR; his great grandchild Brian Gibson (Michele) of Lakeway, TX; his sister Bobbie Gibson Armstrong; his half-siblings, Jane Duncan Lincoln (Ralph), Linda Duncan Ellis (Warren) and Jim Duncan (Judy); and also, Mallory Baker (Reed) of Austin, TX, Mark Gibson (Margaret) of Austin, TX, Lawson, Matthew, Mandy and George. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
