She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Murphy and Lena Harris Murphy; her sisters, Billie Jean Cossey and Virginia Murphy; and her son Tony Laffoon.
She is survived by: her former husband Ronnie Laffoon; her husband Kenny Carmichael; her daughter Melinda; her son-in-law Greg Smith of Jonesboro; her grandchildren, Lindsey, Lee Blake of Cabot, Matt and Megan Smith of Jonesboro; her great grandchildren, Lleyton Hyland Blake, Charleigh Jane Smith and Parker Kate Smith; and her siblings, Florence Morris of Leachville and Sonny Murphy of Blytheville. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family prefers any memorials be made to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House or the NEA Humane Society at 6111 East Highland Drive, Jonesboro.
