He is survived by: his wife Johnne Gilmer; his children, Scott Gilmer (Vickie), Brian Gilmer (Kristen Brady) and Rachel Gilmer; his grandchildren, Michael Blount, Jessica Gilmer, Breanna Gilmer, Matthew Gilmer, Taylor Gilmer, Saxton Gilmer and Riley Gilmer; his great grandchild Cohen Gilmer; his siblings, Helen Gilmer Jones (Roger), Margaret Gilmer Newson (Greg) and Bud Gilmer; and his cousin Larry Gilmer of Chicago. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
