She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Arthur and Reta Cutrell Chalfant; her husband Perry Dewitt Hope; and her son Perry D. Hope Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Lesli Anne Penny (Steve) of Jonesboro, Melissa Lynne Capshaw (Mike) and Charles A. "Chuck" Hope (Steffi) of Moseley, Virginia. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be given in her honor to either the First Methodist Church Pastors Fund or KAIROS of Arkansas Women's Prison Ministry.
