She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie and Sally Tyler, Sr.; her husband Lewis Brown; her daughter Annette Hopkins; and her siblings, Doris, Catherine, Elector, Willie, Jr. and William.

She is survived by: her cousin Evangela Morris. She is also survived by several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other family members.
