He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Elaine McGarvey; and his daughter Lisa M. Porter. He is survived by: his son Timothy McGarvey (Sara); his son-in-law Bill Porter; and his grandchildren, Theo, Katie, Andrew and Elisabeth.
