He was predeceased by: his parents, William Porter (Bill) and Lula Bolten Porter; his wife Elsie Huett Porter; and his siblings, Claude, Loy, Raymond Porter, Olga Porter, Nora Walker, Ollie Kincannon, Clovie Harvell and Louise Eddy.
He is survived by: his brother Herman Porter; his niece Joann (Darral Harris); and his close friends, Casey and Maranda Watkins. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
He attended the musicals at the Jerusalem Community Building until they had to quit due to the Covid pandemic.
