Cleta Sommers Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 13, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Cleta Sommers of Jerusalem, Arkansas, born in Cove, Arkansas. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Carte and Lois Carte; her brothers, Harlas (June) and Darrel Carte (Rita); her sons, David (Sheila) and Randy Sommers; and her grandson Colby Thomas.

She is survived by: her husband Benjamin Sommers; and her children, Sharon (Steven), Daniel Sommers (Ronda) of Jerusalem, Steve Sommers (Kathi) of Jerusalem, Sandra Harris (Jeff) of Hattieville and Debra Thomas (Lance) of Jerusalem. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Even in the final days of her long battle with Parkinson's disease, with her family attending to her every need as she had always done for them, Cleta was still constantly trying to serve those she loved.
