He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Hamilton and Gertrude DuVall Hamilton; his wife Mary Aileen Hamilton; his granddaughter Kathy Jo Johnson; and his siblings, James Hamilton, Leonard Hamilton, Lewis Hamilton, Walter Hamilton, Patsy Grimes, Janette Thrower and Jean Ryan.
He is survived by: his brother Arvin Hamilton; and his children, John Hamilton (Rhonda) of Jefferson, AR., Ira Hamilton, Jr. (Christine) of Hayward, CA., Mary Elizabeth Brown (Lester) of Pine Bluff, AR. and Martha Sue Sweet (Steven) of Eagle Point, OR.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to the American Heart Association in his honor.
