With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis Jean Reser of Jasper, Arkansas, born in Powers, Oregon, who passed away on March 24, 2022 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Phyllis Jean Reser to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Clark and Juanita Clark (Madewell); and the father of her children Ross Reser. She is survived by: her husband Ross Owen Reser; her children, Timothy Owen Reser of Springfield and Tracy Ann Reser Buckman (David) of Arizona; and her sisters, Rhonda Teter of Harrison and Mary Ann Sparks of Eugene. She is also survived by seven nieces.

Memorial donations can be made in Phyllis' name to Newton County Library or Ozark Humane Society.

“I had the honor of working with Phyllis when she was the Director of the Missouri Division of Family Services in Jefferson City, Missouri. When she decided to move to the Jasper area she asked me to come along and we camped and looked at possible locations. We visited often, by phone and letter and was shocked to hear of her death. She had several relatives in the area and had noted relatives in the history of this country. She loved to read and I believe she helped establish the library.”
