He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy Ray and Verdine Ozell Smith (Reed); his brothers, Gary and Oscar Smith; his parents-in-law, Johnny and Mary Campbell of Vendor; his niece Nadene Sparks; and his siblings-in-law, Janis Ann Smith, Roger DeLahunt and James Kenneth Campbell.
He is survived by: his children, Kenny, Josh and Dusty; his wife Francis Fern Smith (Campbell); his sons, Kenneth Coy Smith Jr. of Jasper, Johnny Ray Smith (Nikki) of Jasper, Joshua Lynn Smith (Lora) of Jasper and Dustin Dewayne Smith of Greenville; his siblings, Samuel J. (Lorene Smith), Louis Carl (Kathy Smith), Mildred (Wesley Sparks), Nancy (Jim George), Carolyn (Darrell Campbell), Janis (Harold Freeman), Barbara (Joey White) and Susan (Ricky Smith); his sister-in-law Jackie Smith of Valley Springs; and his grandchildren, John Ray Jr., Trevor, Trenton, Ethan, Karlee, Marcus, Layton, Calvin Smith, McKenna, Mason, Ally, Sarah, Nolan, Noah and Madison.
