He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Brasel and Jessie Brasel (Breedlove); his son Jeffrey Glen Brasel; and his sisters-in-law, Katheryn Brasel and Jimmie Sue Brasel.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Wallace Brasel of Jasper; his daughter Tamara Brasel McKinley (Michael); his siblings, Garland Brasel, Jerry Brasel (Doris), Billy Wayne Brasel, Roy Brasel (Sue), Kenneth Brasel (Ava), Harold Brasel (Karen) and Janis Essex (Coy Lee); his grandchildren, Madison Tanner Barber (Jackson), Clay Tanner, Tony McKinley, Christy McKinley, Kaylee Stuart (Seth), Ashely Middleton, Dustin Blevins, Malachi King Brasel, Jada Blakney and Gio Ramirez; and his great grandchildren, Alyssa McKinley and Emma Winchel.
