It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorsey Lee Woods of Jacksonville, Arkansas, who passed away on March 23, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Dorsey Lee shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Dorsey Lee farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Woods and Lula May Woods (Bench); his wife Iris Ann Woods (Mauldin); and his siblings, James Woods and Vena Barrett.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Woods of Jacksonville and Patrick Woods of Florida; and his brother Roy Woods of Texas. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home (1504 N J P Wright Loop Rd, Jacksonville, AR 72076). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 2:15 PM at the Mt. Olive Cemetery (3700 Mt Olive Rd, Bauxite, AR 72011).
