We bid farewell to Betty Jo Gilliam of Jacksonville, Arkansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 24, 2025 at the age of 84. Betty Jo touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Imon Thornton and Selma Cole Thornton; and her siblings, Donna Williams, Bill Thornton and Doyne Thornton.
She is survived by: her husband Gene Gilliam; her children, Anita Hayley, Cathy Reynolds, Brenda Collins (Marty), Taunya Breaux (Mike) and Barbie Walker (Jason); and her sister Connie Mahoney. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home (1504 N J P Wright Loop Rd, Jacksonville, AR 72076). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Faith Christian Center (6706 T P White Dr, Cabot, AR 72023). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at the Sumner Cemetery (13603-14051 Sumner Cemetary Rd, Cabot, AR 72023).
