He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Higgs and Nellie Higgs; and his daughter-in-law Suzanne. He is survived by: his wife Ella; his son Jack (Melanie); his grandchildren, Brandon Higgs (Mallory), Amanda Higgs, Chelsea Daneault (Jason) and Emily McKenzie (Daniel); his great grandchildren, Jack Daneault and Rose; and his sisters, Nita Ketchum (Richard) and Hazel Thompson (Jimmy).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made at Archview Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas Baptist Children's Home, or St Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
