He was predeceased by: his parents, Odel Dixon and Neva Jean Megason Smith; and his sister Shirley Treat. He is survived by: his children, Scott Lenard of Bastrop, Louisiana, Alicia Harrell of Springdale and Billie Jean Smith of Elkins; and his sister Judy Macias (Andy) of Springdale. He is also survived by six grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
