He is survived by: his siblings, Barbara Smith (James) of Fayetteville and Jack Bixler (Debbie) of Bergman; his sister-in-law Mikelyn Bixler of Marshall; his children, Josh Bixler (Renae) of Sioux Falls and DeAnna Lawson (Paul) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Alexander and Evelyn Bixler of Sioux Falls; his close friend Mike Viotto of Carmel, Indiana; and also Mary.
