She was predeceased by: her parents, Donville Philpott and Ellen Marie Philpott (Pritchard); and her brothers, Bobby, Donald and Billy Philpott.

She is survived by: her husband Curtis Smith; her sons, Douglas Smith and Curtis Smith, Jr. (Kandace) of Tampa, Florida; her grandchildren, Rachel Purvis (Benjamin), Sarah Smith, Christopher Smith (Kristen), Meghan Clark (James) and Colby Smith; her great grandchildren, Ella Smith, Jagger Smith, Brody Cole and Suzanne Purvis; and her siblings-in-law, Doris Jean Rohwr (Eldon) and Paul Smith (Joy). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
